Vocabulary practice and flashcards
Where the Practice list comes from, how spaced review works, and how to fill it.
Practice is a student-only page. It is where vocabulary from lessons comes back for review, without anyone having to build a deck.
Where the words come from
From lesson dictionaries. Every word-and-translation pair added to a lesson's Dictionary tab, or to a Dictionary element in a material, becomes a practice item for the students in that lesson.
A student with an empty list sees: "No practice words yet. They build up from your lesson dictionaries." — that is the whole mechanism. If your students' Practice is empty, add dictionary words during lessons.
Two modes
- List — every word with its translation, searchable, with a play button to hear it.
- Flashcards — Switch to Flashcards turns the list into cards to test yourself with.
Spaced review
Classario tracks how well each word is known and when it is next due. Words you keep getting right come back less often; ones you struggle with return sooner. Students who practise a little and often get the benefit of that spacing.
Practice is part of Pro and School, and included in the trial. There is nothing for the teacher to set up — just add words as you teach.
