Lesson links and guest access
How to invite someone to a single lesson or whiteboard without an account — and what that link actually grants.
Students you have invited do not need a link — the lesson is already on their calendar. Links are for everyone else: a trial student, a parent sitting in, a colleague observing.
Sharing a lesson
In the classroom, use the link icon at the top of the material panel to copy the lesson link. Anyone who opens it is asked for a display name and joins as a guest.
Sharing a whiteboard
A whiteboard has its own Copy share link button, with a Students can edit toggle deciding whether visitors can draw or only watch.
What a guest can and cannot do
- Can — join that lesson's call, see the material, use the chat, and draw on a board if editing is on.
- Cannot — see your calendar, your library, your other students, or anything else in your space.
Treat these links as unlisted, not private. There is no password and no approval step: anyone holding the link can enter. Share them deliberately, and remember a guest joining a group lesson can see the other students on the call.
Turning a guest into a student
If a trial lesson goes well, add them properly from the Students page. Guest access is per-link and does not create an account or any history.
