Connecting Google Calendar

Show your Google events on the Classario calendar, and optionally push your Classario lessons into Google.

If your life is already in Google Calendar, connect it and stop double-booking yourself.

Calendar time settings, including the Google Calendar section

Connecting

  1. On the Calendar, open Calendar time settings (the gear beside "Time").
  2. Find Google Calendar and press Connect Google Calendar.
  3. Sign in to Google and allow access to your calendar.

Once connected, the panel shows Connected as your address, with Disconnect beside it.

Seeing your Google events

Show Google Calendar events overlays them on your Classario calendar. They are read-only: Classario never edits, moves or deletes anything in Google. It is a lens so you can see the dentist appointment before you offer that slot.

Pushing lessons the other way

Show lessons in Google Calendar puts your Classario lessons into Google, so they appear on your phone with everything else. This needs write permission — if you only granted read access, Classario prompts you to reconnect and allow it.

This is per person

The connection is yours, not the school's. Each member of staff connects their own Google account, and nobody sees anyone else's personal events.

If events stop appearing

Google connections expire. Classario tells you your connection expired and to reconnect — one click from the same panel. If it says permission to read your calendar was not granted, reconnect and allow it at the Google screen.

Disconnecting stops the overlay immediately and leaves your Google calendar untouched.
