An Edvibe import failed

What each import error means and how to get the content across anyway.

Imports run through the Classario Import extension for Chrome, driven by the Edvibe page open in your own browser. Most failures come from that setup rather than from the content.

You pasted a normal Edvibe URL. In Edvibe, open Share textbook, turn on Preview only, and copy the link it gives you — it should start https://edvibe.com/sharing-material/.

The link opened but held no content Classario could read. Check the sharing link still works when you open it yourself, and that preview is enabled.

The import stopped partway

Usually the Edvibe tab was closed or navigated away while it ran. Press Retry import — it continues from the last material imported rather than starting over. Leave the tab open next time; a course with several materials takes a few minutes.

You cancelled it

Classario says the import was cancelled and lets you edit the link and try again. Anything already imported stays in your library.

"An Edvibe import is already in progress"

Only one import runs at a time. Wait for it, or cancel it, then start the next.

"You don't have permission to import materials here"

Students cannot import, and a space that is read-only because of billing cannot take new content. Check you are signed in as staff and that the subscription is active.

A verification or captcha page appears

Edvibe sometimes asks the browser to prove it is a person. Complete it yourself in that tab and run the import again — this is exactly why imports go through the extension in your own browser.

It imported, but something is missing

Read the notes Classario lists at the end: some elements may have been adjusted or skipped. Search the imported material for [Set answer], which marks exercises whose answer key could not be read.

Still stuck? Send the sharing link to support@classario.com and the team will transfer it for you.
