Using whiteboards in a lesson
Adding boards as lesson tabs, letting students draw, reusing a board next week, and sharing it with your school.
A whiteboard in Classario is an object, not a throwaway surface. The same board can appear in a lesson, be reopened next week, and be shared with the rest of your school.
In the classroom
Press Whiteboard at the bottom of the material panel. The board opens as another tab beside the material, so you switch between the lesson and the canvas without losing either. Open several in one lesson — one per exercise, say.
Letting students draw
Students can edit decides whether the board is collaborative or a presentation. Turn it on for group work, off when you want the board to stay as you left it.
Reusing a board
Boards live on the Whiteboards page with their own names. Rename them for what they are ("Unit 4 timeline", "Fractions warm-up") and pull them back into a later lesson instead of redrawing.
The shared library
The page has My Whiteboards and Shared Library tabs. Share a board and every member of staff in your school can use it — a good home for the diagram everyone redraws.
Classario content on a board
The Classario content tool drops one of your materials, or a single element, onto the canvas — so an exercise can sit next to your annotations instead of in another tab.
A whiteboard share link works for people without a Classario account. Anyone with the link can open the board, so share it deliberately.
