Your first lesson in 10 minutes
The shortest path from an empty account to a taught lesson: content, a student, a slot in the calendar, and the classroom.
For a teacher who has just signed up. Four steps, in order.
1. Make something to teach
Go to Library. You have two routes:
- Create with Cleo AI — describe the subject, topic, level and length, and Cleo drafts a complete material with explanations, exercises and an optional homework section. Edit anything afterwards.
- New course → Add material — build it yourself. A material opens in the editor with one section; press Add element and pick from text, images, dictionaries and the interactive exercises.
Your work saves as you type — the editor shows Saved in the corner. There is no save button.
2. Add a student
Go to Students and choose one:
- Invite by email — a single-use invitation link, accepted with that address.
- Create account — you make the login yourself and get a 6-digit PIN to pass on. Fastest for a student without email, and you can look the PIN up again later.
- Join link — one link you can share with a whole class.
3. Put it on the calendar
- Open Calendar and press New lesson (or click the slot you want).
- Set the date, time and duration.
- Pick the students or a group.
- Choose the material you just made.
- Leave Repeat on Don't repeat for now, and press Create lesson.
4. Teach it
Click the lesson in the calendar and open it. The classroom gives you the video call on the left, the material on the right, and tabs for chat, the shared dictionary and whiteboards. Your student opens the same lesson from their own calendar — no separate link to send, though you can copy one if you want to.
Then what?
If your material has a Homework tab, you can assign it from the Homework page in two clicks. Words you add to the lesson dictionary flow into each student's Practice list automatically.
