Importing from Edvibe

Copy a course or material from Edvibe into your Classario library using the Classario Import extension for Chrome.

If you are moving from Edvibe, you do not have to rebuild your lessons. Classario copies a course or material — sections, texts, images and exercises — into your library.

In Edvibe: open Share textbook, enable Preview only, and copy the sharing link. It looks like https://edvibe.com/sharing-material/….

Import it

Edvibe now opens shared links only in a normal browser, so imports run through the Classario Import extension for Chrome:

  1. Install the Classario Import extension in Chrome.
  2. Sign in to Classario in that same browser.
  3. Open the Edvibe sharing link for the lesson or course.
  4. Click Import to Classario in the bottom-right corner of the page.

You can also start from Settings → Platform Settings → Import from Edvibe, which walks you through the same steps.

While it runs

A course with several materials takes a few minutes. Classario shows progress material by material — imported, importing, waiting — so leave the tab open. There is a Cancel import button, and if something interrupts it, Retry continues from the last material rather than starting again.

When it finishes

The imported course appears in your Library, with a count of materials and elements. If some elements were adjusted or skipped, Classario lists those notes — read them.

Check the answer keys. Where an exercise's answers could not be read, Classario writes [Set answer] instead of guessing. Search for it before you teach an imported material.

Import history

Past imports are listed with their counts, notes and status, and a link to the course each one created.

If it will not import

  • Check the link is a sharing link with preview enabled, not a normal Edvibe URL.
  • Make sure you are signed in to Classario in the same browser as the extension.
  • Do not close the Edvibe tab while the import is running.
